Ten Fab and Fun Things to Do at The Kiosk at The Park in Russell Park
1 - Putting - Hire a putter and a ball from The Kiosk and try your hand on the 19 hole putting green. Just behind The Kiosk for as long as it takes! Record how many times you have hit the ball to get it in the hole and bring your scorecard back to The Kiosk to see if you are a winner!
2 - Tennis - You can borrow racquets and balls from The Kiosk and have a game of tennis on one of the three courts in Russell park - if you fancy having some lessons ask at The Kiosk as they have lots of courses running throughout the year. There is no charge of the tennis courts for under 18's!
3 - Ping-Pong - The Kiosk will lend you ping pong bats and balls, try your hand at this fast and furious sport. Hilarious fun for all the family and a great spectator sport!
4 - Litter Pick - Help keep the lovely park tidy by borrowing The Kiosk's litter pickers and high vis vests. Wander around and collect any litter you will find and you will be rewarded with a loyalty stamp on your own special card. Get 6 stamps and you will receive a special litter picking badge!
5 - Little Free Library - If you need to cool down after all that running around go to The Kiosk and have a look through their little free library. There are loads of books for young and old. Borrow whatever you like. Take it, read it, keep or bring it back, it's up to you!
6 - Keep an eye on The Kiosk's notice board - There are always events going on through the year. Pick up a leaflet on kayaking, yoga, theatre, woodland adventures, signing lessons. There is something for everyone.
7 - Storytime at the Park - Every Monday morning throughout the year in term time and holidays, there is a Storytime at The Kiosk. Led by an eclectic mix of local Russell park residents and friends, authors and illustrators, business leaders and educators. There are so many stories, like Room on a Broom, The Big Red Bath or Ketchup on my Cornflakes. Audience participation absolutely compulsory.
8 - Feeling Hungry - there are loads of treats and snacks at The Kiosk including milk and biscuits and their special packed lunch. Mummy can have a lovely latte and cake too!
9 - Picnic - You can always make your own picnic and bring it down to the park
10 - Adventure park - the Russell Park Playpark was re-built recently and is wheelchair accessible with something for all ages!
