As part of its eclectic programme of events, The Courtyard has regular family friendly Live Shows, Films and Workshops for all ages to enjoy. Our Family Saturdays offer the perfect family entertainment every weekend.
Visiting children’s theatre companies include Box Tale Soup, Sea Legs Puppet Theatre and Garlic Theatre who offer frequent, interactive children’s theatre.
Children’s Free Membership – sign up and save!
Sign up and save with a free membership! Courtyard Club membership is for children aged 13 and under, and a Courtyard Card membership for those aged 14 – 30. These are completely free to sign up to, and benefits include £3 cinema tickets, £5 tickets to selected live shows and discounts in our Café Bar.
Family Saturdays
Are you stuck for family activities? Do you want something different to do with your kids on a Saturday morning? Keep up to date with what’s on for families in Herefordshire and which children’s activities are happening every Saturday morning at The Courtyard. Following on from the very successful Herefordshire Family Festival, The Courtyard are hosting an event for all the family every Saturday morning. Activities include workshops, films, shows and extra activities for all the family to enjoy, at an affordable price.
The Courtyard also provide a free pre-activity from 10.30am every Saturday morning for those attending Family Saturday events to get involved in.

Baby friendly screenings
A recent initiative launched is The Courtyard’s monthly baby friendly screenings. Baby Friendly Screenings offer new parents and child carers the opportunity to get out of the house, socialise and enjoy great films. We offer a comfortable setting to enjoy films you don’t want to miss out on, without having to worry about little one disturbing others. Baby Friendly screenings will be once a month and audience members must have a baby (up to 18 months) with them to attend. Small adjustments to the screening will be made ensuring audiences have the film experience. Low lights will be left on in the auditorium, the sound a little quieter and, when possible, subtitles will be shown. Nappy changing facilities and supplies are also available on site.
Clubs, classes and workshops
The Courtyard theatre Hereford also hold regular clubs and classes for all ages, along with workshops throughout the year.
Children’s shows
Every Christmas The Courtyard also produce its very own children’s Christmas show. Perfect for those who are too little for panto or who have not experienced theatre before.
