Homemade Mint Chocolate Ice Cream

There’s something timeless about the crisp, refreshing flavour of mint paired with indulgent dark chocolate chips – and when it’s churned into creamy homemade ice cream, it becomes pure dessert bliss. Whether you’re cooling off on a summer afternoon or just treating yourself to something special, this mint choc ice cream delivers a perfect scoop every time.

Ingredients

  • 300ml Double cream
  • 175g Condensed milk
  • 2 tsp Peppermint extract
  • 100g Dark chocolate chips
  • Green food colouring (a couple of drops)

Method

Step 1: Whisk the double cream, condensed milk, peppermint extract and food colouring together until soft and fluffy.

Step 2: Gently stir in the chocolate chips.

Step 3: Spoon into an air tight container or loaf tin covered in cling film and freeze overnight.

It’s up to you how you serve it, on its own, in a cone, whatever you do, be sure to be ready to make an extra batch , it will go down a treat with the family!
