The Shrine Keeper – Escape Room at Hereford Cathedral

Brand new in 2025, after 3 years of running the escape room, is a new adventure for intrepid escapees.  Welcome to The Shrine Keeper!

Set in medieval Hereford, The Shrine Keeper centres around a group of pilgrims visiting and leaving offerings at the shrine of St Thomas Cantilupe.

As the pilgrims attend the morning service in the cathedral, the Shrine Keeper realises that a precious ring, which had been left at the shrine earlier in the day, has gone missing. The group taking on the challenge of the Escape Room have been sent by The City of Hereford’s Sargeant at Law to the Old Chapel, where the pilgrims will be spending the night, to search for the hidden ring and help solve the mystery before times run out.

The Escape Room will be running fortnightly on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, plus one Saturday a month. 

Each Saturday will be on the Raring2go! what’s on section!!
