Bring your picnics, chairs, sunscreen and parasols, or blankets and raincoats – a few events have the option for undercover shows, check the website for details.

Duration of performance approx 2hrs 30 mins (inc 15 min interval) gates normally open 1 hr before performance.

We went along to a show at Eaton Bishop, Herefordshire, and loved it!  You can read our review here.

Rain or Shine is a Gloucester based professional theatre company which performs outdoor open air theatre shows across the UK.  With over 50 shows of The Pickwick Papers, there are plenty to choose from, many are taking place in Herefordshire and Worcestershire.  The show was adapted and directed by Jonathan Legg, and produced by Jayne Lloyd.  The amazing actors and the main characters they play are Anthony Young (Mr Samuel Pickwick), Nicholas Taylor (Tracy Tupman), Marshall Lockwood (Nathaniel Winkle), Adam Wright (Augustus Snodgrass) and Pippa Meekings (Sam Weller).

Performances are in the open air (unless indicated) and will continue,”rain or shine”, in all but the worst weather. Venues with wet weather provision are stated when booking tickets. Toilets and parking are available at all performances. outdoor seating is not provided (stated on publicity).
Please bring your own low backed chairs or rug. Even summer nights can be cool, so warm clothing, a hot flask (and of course insect repellent!) is advisable.
