Dr. Dolittle

Dr Dolittle prefers animals to people. With the help of his parrot Polynesia, he learns to speak with all the animals and soon becomes a wonderful vet. He is summoned to help cure an outbreak among the monkeys in Africa and has an eventful journey with his trusty dog Jip and his monkey Chee Chee. Barking Dog’s two talented actors present this wonderful adventure. With original music and audience participation as well as use of puppetry and mime. Suitable for children aged 5-10.

The Courtyard is Hereford’s leading centre for the arts, with regular family friendly Live Shows, Films and Workshops for all ages to enjoy.  Our Family Saturdays offer the perfect family entertainment every weekend.

There are also clubs and classes for all ages and abilities, with additional ‘camps’ throughout the school holidays.

The Courtyard is wheelchair accessible and caters for all abilities.  All levels of the theatre are accessible by level access or lift, and blue badge parking is available.  Toilet facilities are on the ground floor, with a wheelchair-friendly toilet.  The nearest changing places facilities are available at The Old Market, just over the road from the Theatre.  Please see the main website for details of subtitled and relaxed screenings/performances.  A hearing loop is also available.
