A Taste of Altrincham Kicks Off This Weekend with 10-Days of Food & Drink Celebration

A Taste of Altrincham, launches this weekend, bringing ten days of exceptional food, drink and hands-on experiences to the town from Thursday 26th February.

Showcasing the very best of Altrincham’s vibrant hospitality scene, the 10-days will feature exclusive dining events, chef demonstrations, workshops, tastings and family-friendly activities, offering something for every palate and every age.

It all begins in style on Thursday 26th February with ‘The Opening Glass’ – Wine Tasting at Jardim Rodizio, setting the tone for a packed programme celebrating global flavours and local talent.

On Friday, food lovers can dive into a diverse line-up of experiences including:

• Jamaican Movement and Pattie Experience at Jenna Patties Co A vibrant 90-minute Jamaican cultural experience celebrating food, movement and storytelling.
• Blanchflower Does Dinner A special evening of local and seasonal dishes
• Wine and Cheese Night at Alibi Pairing expertly selected wines with artisan cheeses

Saturday sees a full day of activity at Altrincham Town Hall, with an inspiring and interactive programme including:

• In Conversation with Emma Thackray, Co-founder of Hip Pop A must for anyone interested in gut health or growing a brand – or both! Tickets include a pack of 4 cans for delicious Hip Pop kombucha
• Build Your Own Charcuterie Cups with Amy Regan of Kit:ch Learn the secrets to building a charcuterie cup, and enjoy what you have made
• Samosa Chaat Workshop with Shere Khan Kitchen Learn how to make the ultimate Indian street food – golden, crispy and bursting with flavour

Families are well catered for across the weekend, with a range of children’s craft and cookery workshops designed to inspire the next generation of food enthusiasts including:

• The Very Hungry Caterpillar and Arty Pasta Party at OYEZ Arts This workshop is full of colour, creativity, and hands-on making – perfect for little artists who love stories and crafts
• Mudcake Munchkins with Cheshire Cookery School Children will mix, bake and decorate their very own chocolate mud cake in a mug

On Sunday, the spotlight turns to culinary competition as Cheshire Cookery School presents The Ultimate Chef Challenge, where two local chefs will go head-to-head in an exciting mystery bag showdown.

For those feeling more energetic, Caffeine X Endorphins teams up with Rise and Grind to host a special Sunday Run Club, blending fitness and community spirit. Meanwhile, bread lovers can sharpen their skills with Matt from MOST Bakery, who will be hosting a hands-on Sourdough Class at MOST Bakery. If you fancy trying your hand at drawing why not sign up for, I Can’t Draw! – Still Life for Absolute Beginners at OYEZ Arts.
