There’s a Freddy the Frog visual trail for the littlest family members, interactive displays, and working steam engines on Steam Open Days. On steam open days, ear defenders may be needed for young children and for anyone in your party who has sensory issues.
Why not bring along a picnic and enjoy the water fun in the Heritage Play and Learn Water Park? Here children can learn about water, operate pumps, lift water from a well, push pumps, and learn about water filtration. Perfect fun for a warm summer’s day – and yes, the grown-ups can play too!
There is free parking on site, and while picnics are welcome, there is a lovely café inside for some light refreshments too.
