What is Mathnasium?

Mathnasium is a global leader in maths education, with over 1,100 locations worldwide. We help children in years 1-11 to catch-up, keep-up, and get ahead in maths through a tailored curriculum, personalised approach, flexible attendance, and one-to-one teaching methods with low Instructor-to-student ratios… and we make it fun!
Our new location on Stamford New Road, Altrincham, is now enrolling!

In addition to a personalised curriculum for each child, we also help with maths homework and schoolwork, and we support children with 11+ preparation and GCSE preparation. We’re open 5 days a week to suit your busy schedule, and our opening hours will only expand with demand.

How can Mathnasium help my child?

At Mathnasium, we tailor the experience and curriculum to the individual child. The best place to start is with a comprehensive, free assessment. This will identify your child’s strengths and weaknesses in maths, topic by topic, and from there we build your child’s personalised curriculum to specifically target areas of improvement. Through this we rebuild your child’s understanding and confidence in maths, and set them up for long-term success and grow a love for learning.

We teach for the understanding of topics, develop number sense and problem-solving skills, and we aim to give students confidence in their learning. We use Socratic questioning and utilise our Mathnasium Method of teaching to support each child.

Will my child enjoy Mathnasium?

Absolutely!
Even if maths isn’t your child’s favourite subject, we’re confident we can change that. Firstly, our Instructors aren’t just great at maths, they’re fun, engaging people too. We have an amazing incentive programme where children earn ‘Star Cards’ to turn in for prizes.

We have fun days such as ‘Pi Day’, Milkshake Day, Pizza parties, summer and winter parties, a whole ‘fun calendar’ over the summer holidays, and more.

Our centre is a relaxed, welcoming learning environment where children can thrive. Finally, the feeling your child will get from growing in confidence with their maths through working with us tops it all!

How do you track my child’s progress? Will I get any feedback?

We aim to give individual feedback for each child after every session. Our team is always happy to go through your child’s achievements for the session, and we encourage our children to recall what they have achieved to reinforce their learning.

We provide monthly updates by email, and we reassess all of our children every 90 days or less, the results of which are shared to the child’s parents, so they can see the continued progress. We also operate an ‘open door’ policy, so parents can always get in contact at any time for a chat and update on their child.

When does Mathnasium open in Altrincham?

Our official opening is Saturday, 17th February, but we’ve already had a soft-launch and we’re enrolling now!

You can join us on Saturday, 17th February at 11am when the Mayor will be cutting the ribbon to ‘officially’ open our new learning centre. We’ll have our A+ mascot, free pizza, games, and prizes! Anyone is welcome to come along, so pop in with your family to say hi, have a tour of our centre, and support a new, local business opening in Altrincham.
