Peter Pan at Tyne Theatre Newcastle

Peter Pan

We were delighted to be invited to see Peter Pan at the Tyne Theatre and Opera house. The team at Enchanted Entertainment always put on a fantastic show and this was the most spectacular yet.

Peter Pan is a wonderful story, perfect for panto with a great mix of goodies, baddies and special effects. The house band was brilliant, providing excellent music from start to finish. I especially enjoyed the flight sequence when Peter (Matt Lapinskas) and the Darling children flew to Neverland. This was really magical.

The children of the ensemble did a superb job with acting, singing and dancing. Its great to see such young talent enjoying the show so much. They are the future of theatre and its brilliant for them to have the opportunity to perform in front of such a large crowd. Bravo to them all!

The audience had a fine time joining in with booing and hissing when Captain Hook appeared. And the volume went up even further when the crocodile too centre stage!

There is lots of comedy provided by Charlie Richmond as Smee and Mrs Smee Lewis Denny. Lots of audience participation too which was very funny.

Peter Pan runs until January 7th. Showtimes and tickets available here. The Tyne Theatre and Opera House is just a few minutes walk from Central Station so very easily accessible. I would recommend you take plenty of snacks/drinks especially for younger children. The show is very long at 3 hours (with an interval)
