Your Roman adventure awaits at these two must see attractions on Hadrian's Wall.

Experience the North East of England's best day out. In the heart of Northumberland National Park and central section of the iconic Hadrian's Wall, The Vindolanda Charitable Trust bring you two exciting attractions dramatically exploring Roman life on the edge of the empire 2000 years ago.

The two Hadrian's Wall sites - Roman Vindolanda and the Roman Army Museum - offer the perfect day out for families looking to explore the story of Vindolanda. Watch it unfold as more and more artefacts are uncovered, or step into the life of a Roman soldier and experience history coming to life before your very eyes.

A visit to Roman Vindolanda gives access to the fascinating Vindolanda excavation site, where visitors can find out more about how the Romans lived, what clothes they wore and why. Visitors can walk around the active excavation site or explore the superb award-winning museum, set in charming gardens with a reconstructed temple, Roman house and shop.
With an exclusive REAL 3D Edge of Empire film, inspiring reconstructions of army life and unique access to authentic Roman artefacts excavated from along Hadrian's Wall, the Roman Army Museum pays unforgettable homage to Rome's military accomplishments in Britain in an interactive way, sure to entertain all the family.

With free parking, a stunning location, unique exhibits and live archaeology to watch throughout the summer months, a memorable and full day out awaits. CLICK HERE FOR TICKET INFORMATION
