Woodhorn Museum, The Hungry Miner
For miners, dinnertime underground was a welcome break from the hard graft of digging coal. Each carried a bait box filled with simple food like jam sandwiches or bread and dripping.
In this fun family activity, imagine what would go inside your miner’s bait box!
Collage over the drawing of a miner (with a little charcoal for the face). Then create the food your miner will be eating for dinner.
Included with Annual Pass. Did you know, an adult ticket is £11 and it is valid for unlimited return visits for 12 months. Under 18s are always free.
Saturday 14 February – Sunday 22 February 12 – 3pm
Drop in, no need to book.
