October Half-Term Fun at Wolverhampton Art Gallery 2025!
Join us this October half-term for a brilliant line-up of creative workshops and activities for children and young people aged 5–16! (Age 3+ for the Diwali workshop) From sculpting mini beasts and crafting Diwali lamps to painting glow-in-the-dark monster masks, each session is designed to spark imagination and creativity.
Workshops are inspired by our exhibitions, nature, and seasonal celebrations, including Halloween and Diwali and are perfect for curious minds and budding artists.
Monday 27th Oct
Wild Earth Wonders
Use clay and natural materials to sculpt mini beasts inspired by the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition. Help the wildlife in your local area by including some wildflower seeds in your creations. Plant them outdoors over winter and let the magic happen!

Diya Craft Workshop with Jaivant Patel Company
Celebrate Diwali, the festival of light with Jaivant Patel by making beautiful hanging diya lamps.
Diya’s are a traditional symbol for the Diwali festival, when they are lit to symbolise light overcoming any darkness.
Each participant will get to decorate their own unique hanging diya to take home in celebration of the festival of light.

Make you own glow-in-the-dark Monster Masks!
Join us for a fun filled mask painting workshop using ready-made masks and glow-in-the-dark paint! Learn a variety of painting techniques to design your own monster mask to take home, wear and scare!

ART PLAY
Location: Wolverhampton Art Gallery

Join us for our creative, sensory play sessions for families with babies and toddlers led by artists and early years’ educators. Take time to relax, imagine and find inspiration together.
Ages: 0 to 5 (older siblings are also welcome to attend)
Cost: £3.14+BF per child
BILSTON BODDLERS
Location: Bilston Gallery
When: Thursdays during term time, 12.30pm to 2pm
Bilston Boddlers are fun sessions for families with young children, which provide babies and toddlers with all kinds of imaginative materials to explore their world and get creative through functional, inventive and messy play.
Age: 0 to 5 (older siblings are welcome to attend).
Cost: Free – Drop in.
BILSTON BUTTERFLIES
Location: Bilston Gallery
When: Fridays during term time, 12.30pm to 2pm
Stay and play sessions for Bilston parents.
