Mini Monster Mash, Victoria Baths
A wickedly fun Halloween take-over on Saturday 26 October (11am to 2pm) means that Manchester’s Victoria Baths is THE place to get your spook on. Young wizards, witches, ghosts and ghouls will be spell-bound by the devilish décor, creeped out by the crafts and thrilled by the silent disco at the Mini Monster Mash.
With the pool halls, Turkish Baths and corridors of Victoria Baths all having gone through an epic Halloween makeover, lying in wait will be 100 spine-tingling skeletons, 9-foot high unearthly ghosts, a cauldron of 1,500 bats and 500 watchful eyes! This means it’s the perfect chance to put on your fanciest Halloween fancy dress clothes, with lots of great photo-opps.
The Sports Hall (former Males 2nd Class Pool) is where all the Family Friendly activities take place. There is scary mask making, mummy inspired paper decorations to bring to life, or fiendish pumpkin cards to design. There will also be a silent disco with some of the Halloween classics on the playlist, from Thriller to Ghostbusters; Monster Mash to The Adams Family. Plus an adults and kids channel means there is something for everyone and plenty of opportunity to show off the dance moves!
A tuck shop will keep everyone fed and watered, with light snacks, sweets, tea, coffee and juice available. The doors creak open at 11am and close at 2pm. Tickets are £4 per mini monster or adult and can be booked here.
