The Gruffalo and Room on the Broom, The Glasshouse Gateshead

Home orchestra Royal Northern Sinfonia are joined by guest conductor Terry Davies and guitarist Huw Davies for this very special family concert. They will be playing the live soundtracks to the much-loved films The Gruffalo and Room on the Broom. based on Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s smash hit children’s books.

Take your family on an adventure like no other. Experience excitement, laughter, and wonder as Royal Northern Sinfonia plays live music to film from the classic children’s book adaptation of The Gruffalo.

We’ll join Mouse in the woods, searching for his favourite snack.  Along the way, he’ll meet fox, owl, snake and of course a mysterious tusked creature, with a poisonous wart on the end of his nose.

Later we’ll hop on to Witch’s broomstick for another charming caper, playing live music from the film based on the captivating storybook, Room on the Broom.
