Severn Valley Railway Winter Diesel Day
The Winter Diesel day returns on Monday 30 December 2024 and we’re looking forward to lots of diesel action care of the SVR home fleet.
Classes expected to feature include: Class 14, 20, 33, 37, 40, 46, 50, 52, DMU and HST.
Regular daytime and early evening services with an extra evening round trip to Bridgnorth and back.
Highlights include:
- Steam and Diesel double-heading with 1450 and various other diesels.
- Top-and-tailed workings with 40106 and 46045 and 1450 providing Steam Heat.
- DMU ‘Drag’ with various combinations with some double-heading.
- HST services operating full line with Arley to Bridgnorth and Bridgnorth to Arley non-stop running.
- Opportunity to get high mileage behind several locos during the day with connections possible at every station.
The Station gift shops, cafes and restaurant kiosks will also be open selling food and hot drinks, and The Engine House is open.
