A carefully curated programme, jilted from convention, for audiences of all ages. Back with a bang this July with the sixth edition, Refract:24 brings the opportunity to experience things differently at Waterside. Running from Tuesday 23 July to Sunday 28 July, this festival promises the very best in live comedy, music, dance, experiential performance and theatre.
Expect the unexpected as Trafford’s award-winning arts destination is re-imagined both inside and out, to host everything from firm favourites and familiar faces, to new talent, outdoor spectacles and a few surprises along the way.

enchantingly fluent guitar work of Paul Farr, inspired bass playing of Danny Blomeley and in-the

music influences. Her heartfelt songs explore tales of lost love, rebirth, rebellion and adventure. The
result is both dramatic and uplifting, full of intensity, playfulness. She joins us at Refract as a trio
with self-effacing guitarist Ulrich Elbracht and Andrew Chaisty on bass.

Psychederek – aka Lewis Olsen – crafts music which is difficult to pin down by genre. From his
bedroom studio in Stretford, Manchester, he combines electronic music with live instruments to
create a unique fusion of sounds. The result is dreamy and ambient, but also weighty and hard
