Nine year old Pippi is strong, brave and fearless. When she comes to live in her new home with her monkey and horse but with no parents and no rules, she brings mischief, chaos and confusion to the folk of this ordinary and traditional town. What else would you expect from the daughter of a swashbuckling pirate captain?
Celebrating 75 years of Astrid Lindgren’s much-loved Pippi Longstocking, performer Sofie Miller, acclaimed storyteller Danyah Miller (I Believe in Unicorns, Why the Whales Came) and award-winning director Helena Middleton (Education, Education, Education, Pippi Longstocking – The Musical Adventure) introduce ‘the strongest girl in the world’ to young audiences. Expect much mischief, laughter and audience interaction!

Running time: 45 minutes followed by an optional 15 minute craft activity

The Courtyard is Hereford’s leading centre for the arts, with regular family friendly Live Shows, Films and Workshops for all ages to enjoy. Our Family Saturdays offer the perfect family entertainment every weekend.
There are also clubs and classes for all ages and abilities, with additional ‘camps’ throughout the school holidays.
The Courtyard is also a great place to host your child’s party. Book it on the same day as one of our fabulous Family Saturdays shows to make it a birthday your child and their friends will absolutely love, and never forget.
The Courtyard is wheelchair accessible and caters for all abilities. All levels of the theatre are accessible by level access or lift, and blue badge parking is available. Toilet facilities are on the ground floor, with a wheelchair-friendly toilet. The nearest changing places facilities are available at The Old Market, just over the road from the Theatre.
