A Festive Evening Awaits at Altrincham’s ‘Carols from King’s Court’ on Thursday 18th December
Altrincham’s Carols from King’s Court returns on Thursday 18th December bringing an evening of music and Christmas magic to the heart of the town. The annual event, organised by Altrincham BID, the team behind Visit Altrincham, and proudly sponsored once again by Circle Funerals, begins at 6pm in King’s Court.
This year’s celebration will be led by the ever-inspiring Clare Morel and Richard Wetherall from The Music Place, supported by performers from The Music Place Choir. Audiences can expect an uplifting mix of much-loved Christmas classics, with song sheets provided so everyone can join the seasonal singalong.
Mandy White, Altrincham BID Director, shared what’s new for 2025:
“We’re thrilled to welcome everyone back for what has become one of the most heart-warming events of the year. It’s our final Christmas event of the year and we always really enjoy the sing-along. We will be moving seating around to create more space and upgrading the PA system because the event gets more popular each year. And who knows if the Christmas magic is on our side, we might even see a flurry of snow!”
The King’s Court venues, including Cheshire Tap, Gin Can and Batch bottlestore will be serving a delicious selection of festive drinks, including mulled wine, seasonal cocktails, and indulgent hot chocolate, while à burger will be have their speciality smashed burgers, crispy Korean, filet-à-fish, and à bloc bird in homemade brioche buns for everyone to enjoy.
Adding a thoughtful element to the event, sponsors Circle Funerals have once again included a Christmas memorial poem on the song sheets which is an invitation to gently acknowledge those who may be missing loved ones during the festive season.
Owners Sara and Jeremy Fixter explained:
“This is our fourth year supporting Carols from King’s Court, and we’re honoured to be involved again. It’s always such a special evening where people gather not only to sing, but to reflect, remember and connect. Christmas can be a profoundly emotional time, and as a funeral service dedicated to wellbeing after loss, we hope our memorial poem and information on continuing bonds offer comfort and open up conversations.”
