Review -Dreamgirls at The Alex in Birmingham
What an amazing opening night of the Dreamgirls show at the Alex Theatre in Birmingham. I’m sure the city shook a little from the standing ovation the cast received at the end. Each and every performer was on point with their singing and dancing , I can’t tell you much about the staging as I was so lost in the music and the performance!
Deena- Natalie Kassanga and Effie- Nicole Raquel Dennis were exquisite and reached unbelievable top notes to deliver emotional but controlled performances of such heart break in their songs, I was on the edge of my seat.
Lorrell- Paige Peddie and Jimmy-Brandon Lee Sears brought the humour, the moves and a whole lot of soul!
Curtis acted by the brilliant Matt Mills played the antagonist to perfection, he will stop at nothing to give the girls their dream or is it his dream?
Go along and find out if the Dreamgirls make it big in the harsh world of the music industry, you wont be disappointed.
A truly sensational night, make it your ONE NIGHT ONLY this Christmas at The Alex because I’m telling YOU YOU YOU’RE going to loooovvvvveeee it!
