Altrincham’s Enchanted Halloween Adventure
Get Ready for an Enchanted Halloween in Altrincham with a Spooky Family Town Trail (Friday 24th October – Sunday 2nd November)
This October half-term, Altrincham BID (Business Improvement District) invites families to take part in a spooktacular adventure as the town becomes enchanted for Halloween!
A mysterious portal has opened right in the heart of Altrincham, and all manner of ghouls, ghosts, and mischievous monsters have slipped through into our world. They’re hiding in shop windows, sneaking down streets, and spreading spooky magic all around! Now, the town needs brave adventurers to help send them back to where they belong.
By following the Halloween Town Trail, families can set out on a magical quest to track down the creatures, uncover hidden words, and solve the secret spell that will seal the portal tight once more.
Are you brave enough to join the quest before the monsters cause more mischief?
Here’s how to play:
· Collect your Trail Sheet from Everyman Altrincham, 74-78 George St, Altrincham, WA14 1RF (10am-4pm)
· Follow the trail to discover each of the ghouls, ghosts, and monsters, ticking them off your list as you go.
· Look out for magic words hidden at stops along the way.
· Unscramble the words at the end to reveal the secret spell that will close the portal and save the town!
Along the way, families can also discover 10 large Halloween installations — perfect for photo opportunities! Don’t forget to stop and capture the moment by pulling your scariest face at each one.
Also look out for the Halloween Pumpkin Lanterns that will be installed in the trees along Shaw’s Road.
The Halloween Town Trail is produced by Altrincham BID, the organisation behind Visit Altrincham, and is sponsored by Bruntwood and Everyman Altrincham. It has also been supported this year by UKSPF funding via Trafford Council.
All Halloween activities and events happening in Altrincham will be promoted on VisitAltrincham.com and across Altrincham BID’s social media channels. Businesses planning special events or spooky surprises are encouraged to get in touch so their activities can be included in the campaign.
Mandy White, Altrincham BID Director said:
“The Halloween Trail is a fantastic way for families to explore the town, enjoy some free Halloween fun, and support our brilliant local businesses. We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone on this magical adventure!”
