‼️ ALTRINCHAM’S LANTERN PARADE – SATURDAY 7th DECEMBER ‼️
Due to the adverse weather conditions forecast for this Saturday we will be unable to deliver Altrincham’s Lantern Parade on this date, this includes the stage in Stamford Square and the parade itself.
After thorough discussions with our safety consultant and partners, we have taken the decision that proceeding with the event this Saturday would compromise the safety of everyone involved.
With this in mind, we are working on combining the lantern parade, and its stage entertainment in Stamford Square, with next weekend’s Nativity Journey which takes place on Saturday 14th December.
The Lantern Workshops at OYEZ Arts will go ahead as planned tomorrow, Saturday 7th December. We would invite those who are taking part to join us on Saturday 14th December for the parade at the Nativity Journey.
The programme might differ slightly on Saturday 14th December, but we are looking forward to coming together and celebrating the Festive Season with you in Altrincham.

There will be Community Lantern Workshops 1-2:30pm & 3-4:30pm, where you will be able to create your own lantern and join the festive fun by lining the streets to light the parade on its way! Workshops are FREE but must be booked through Eventbrite.co.uk
4:15pm – parade gathers in Goose Green
5pm – parade sets off
5:45pm – parade arrives in Stamford Square for a festive singalong with The Music Place
