Do your little ones have a favourite book they can’t put down? Is there a special story that’s become part of your family routine? We want to hear all about it!
Little Page Turners is our exciting new feature celebrating the books that make families smile. Share your child’s favourite reads and inspire other local families to discover wonderful new stories.
How to Enter
- Write a short review (160 words max) of your family’s favourite book
- Include the title, author, recommended age, and why you love it
- Add a quote from your child about why the book is special to them
- Email your entry to altrincham@raring2go.co.uk by 31st May 2025
Categories
Our Little Page Turners competition is designed to celebrate readers of all ages, so we’ve created three special categories to make sure every young bookworm gets a chance to shine! We’ll be collecting book reviews from three age groups: 0-5, 6-8, and 9-11.
In each category, we’ll choose a winner and a runner-up who will receive fantastic book-related prizes. This means we’ll have six amazing young reviewers to celebrate – two stars from each age group who will be featured in our Summer issue and on our website.
Whether you’re sharing a beloved picture book, a first chapter book, or a gripping junior novel, we can’t wait to hear about the stories that make your family reading time special.

Little Page Turners – Terms and Conditions
How to Enter:
- Tell us about your favourite family book (maximum 160 words)
- Include: book title, author, age recommendation, and why you love reading it together
- Optional: Add a quote from your child about the book
- Optional: Include your child’s name and age
- Optional: Send a photo of you or your child reading if you’re happy for this to be shared on social media, our website and in our magazine
- Send to: altrincham@raring2go.co.uk
Entry Guidelines:
- Open to families living in Trafford and surrounding areas
- One entry per family per category
- Reviews must be your own original words
- By submitting, you agree to your review being published in our Summer issue and on our website
- Children must be aged 0-12 by 31.08.25 to participate
Prizes:
- Winners will be chosen by our editorial team
- Prize consists of a £15 B for Butterfly book voucher for the winner in each category and a puzzle for the runner up in each category
- Winners will be announced in our Summer issue
- Winners will be contacted by email by 15th June
The important bits:
- No purchase necessary
- Entries after the closing date cannot be accepted
- The judges’ decision is final
- We may edit reviews for length and clarity
- Personal details will only be used to contact winners
- Photos are welcomed but optional
