Tanga Club offers specialised support and activities for families with children aged 0–18 with SEND. They provide inclusive groups, parent support, equipment and toy hire, specialist sessions and advice on all SEND subjects.
Tanga Club meets at Hexham Community Centre every Friday (excluding the first Friday of each month and school holidays). Sessions run from 5:30pm to 7:00pm and are packed with engaging activities like arts & crafts, gaming consoles, VR headsets, board games, pool, and a tuck shop.
All sessions are supported by Tanga representatives and youth workers from Hexham Youth Initiative. Please note – children and young people must be accompanied by a parent or carer.
They also host special event nights throughout the year, such as Crazy Creatures or Creative Kitchens (additional charges may apply). For parents and carers, organisations like Carers Northumberland and Family Hubs regularly come along to provide information and support.
