Field Studies Council is an outdoor education charity that wants to inspire the next generation to know more about and protect the natural world. Our centre at Bishops Wood, Stourport on Severn, offers family-friendly events during the school holidays that help you reconnect with nature.
Activities are based outdoors and explore the natural world. The sessions are a mix of games and activities that will inspire you to find out more and discover how you can help wildlife on your doorstep. To take part you don’t need any experience or expensive kit, just the enthusiasm for being outdoors and discovering nature.
The centre itself is surrounded by stunning ancient woodland and the building is unique with its sustainable design . Within the grounds there is a large pond which is perfect for pond dipping, a natural Viking boat sculpture that brings history lessons to life and plenty of outdoor classroom areas.
