Elmridge Primary School – Unlocking Potential, Inspiring Success, Celebrating Diversity
At Elmridge we are committed to providing every child with the highest levels of education and care. Children only get one childhood, and it is our responsibility to ensure that the years spent at our school are ones that ensure they are happy and successful, whilst providing them with the skills, knowledge and attitude to achieve in their future lives.
Everyone has a different reason for being passionate about education. We passionately believe that the best possible education can change a child’s life, and every day we have the opportunity to ensure the children at Elmridge are supported and encouraged to be the best versions of themselves. The school is very fortunate to be part of such a strong and supportive community where parents/carers and staff are absolutely committed.
We hold the highest expectations and work to support each child to achieve success, not only academically, but socially, morally, spiritually and culturally. We know that high aspirations lead to high standards, and this is our vision for each and every child.
Elmridge is proud to be part of Bright Futures Educational Trust, an organisation committed to our vision: ‘The best for everyone, the best from everyone’.
We think that there are many reasons to choose Elmridge, here are just some of our highlights:
- Progression from Nursery. Many of our pupils progress to the school having been at our Nursery. Many parents/carers like this continuity and, as we prepare children well for school, they have a good transition.
- Diverse pupils and staff. We love and celebrate diversity at Elmridge. Our pupils and staff are what makes our school very special.
- A vibrant and happy school. Our school has wonderful displays, vibrant classrooms and a very happy atmosphere.
- Well-behaved pupils. We place great importance on pupil behaviour and decisions. We have worked hard to ensure that pupils understand what is expected of them and how they must behave in school following our school’s golden rules and living our school values.
- Good relationships with parents/carers. We know that for pupils to be successful we need a partnership approach. We hold parent/carer evenings, invite parents/carers to school events and will always contact parents/carers if there are any problems or concerns.
- Our pupils are happy. We encourage very good attendance, and this is one sign that pupils are happy. They also tell us they are happy, and we ask for their feedback and suggestions.
- High expectations. We have high expectations for all our pupils as we want the best for everyone in the school. We know that if children work hard and are happy, they will prepare well for secondary school.
- Breakfast Club. We are able to offer a breakfast club on site run by Kids Collective, which enables all pupils to attend from 7:30am and have a nutritious breakfast, play games, do some fitness, craft, and other activities.
- Our curriculum drivers. These are a true reflection of our school community and are embedded throughout. They are: ‘International learners’, ‘Aspirational leaders’, and ‘Literacy champions’.
- Celebrating children’s success. We ensure children are always celebrated both inside and outside of the classroom. We have ample opportunities for children to partake in a range of enrichment activities to develop skills further. Classes are often taken on educational visits linked to their topic of study complementing their learning in school.
- International School Award. We have been credited with this award due to our commitment to embedding international awareness and understanding within our school.
We welcome you to come and visit our school to see what we have to offer, see our environment, and meet some of our staff. Call us today!
