Children’s classes
Daisy First Aid South Leicester is on another mission…lets empower our children to help in an emergency! As you now know, most accidents happen at home. A lot of the time there is 1 adult at home with the children. So, here’s a question for you:
What would your child do if you were the one who was hurt?
Our children’s classes teach children from as young as 4 years old, yes you read that right 4 years old. From 4 a child is capable of getting help on the way, checking for breathing and putting a full-grown adult into the recovery position!
Our children’s classes are adapted to different age groups, so they are age appropriate. What do we cover:
- What is an emergency and the emergency plan.
- Who and how to call for help.
- Recovery positions.
- (defibs for 11+)
- Managing a bleed
- When time allows – recognising anaphylaxis and managing a seizure.
We love working with schools to train pupils and we have public venue classes too.
We have a range of children’s books – Daisy Junior First Aider, created for children with real guidance and first aid advice for what children should do in an emergency.
Daisy First Aid South Leicester also provides level 3 classes for professionals.
