Charlotte Reader Dance is a friendly and inclusive dance school in the heart of Angmering Village, offering dance classes for all ages. The school was established back in 2014 by Charlotte Reader as a place to share her love of dance. Starting with just one Adult Tap class, she has seen her school grow to over 25 classes covering 5 different genres.
The newest classes to be introduced to Charlotte Reader Dance are Tap and Musical Theatre for children, held at Angmering Village Hall and St Margaret’s Primary School, Angmering. Open to everyone Reception aged and up, these lessons will be the perfect introduction for anyone looking to try something new in a fun and supportive environment. These classes will run alongside existing dance lessons in Street Dance, Contemporary Jazz Fusion, Lil Beatz (for pre-schoolers) and Young At Heart (a slow paced dance fitness class for the over 55s).
Charlotte’s passion for teaching Tap has seen her weekly adult classes grow to nearly 60 students, ranging from Beginners all the way up to those at an Advanced level. CRD Adult Tappers have performed in an annual ‘Tapathon’ event for the last few years where they Tap to raise money for BBC Children In Need and have competed in local Dance Festivals (walking away with 1st place!)
A highlight of every year is the Charlotte Reader Dance Showcase. Performed at The Windmill Theatre, all students in reception upwards are invited to participate in this celebration of dance!
Charlotte Reader Dance also runs classes at various Primary Schools across West Sussex, teaching Street Dance and Musical Theatre to young students.
