This recently refurbished leisure centre in Ashby features a main pool, a teaching pool and an outdoor lido swimming pool where you can enjoy casual swim sessions or join Everyone Active’s award-winning swimming lessons.
The swim teachers are all Swim England (or equivalent) qualified, and swimming lessons are available for any age from just four months old. These are perfect for all levels; running all year round and designed for babies, through to toddlers and children at all levels and give that all important water confidence and beyond
In the warmer months you can enjoy ‘Ashby-by-the-Sea’ – featuring the glorious outdoor pool and children’s beach play area with sand toys and climbing equipment.
If you prefer to stay on dry land, there’s a skate park and a sports hall offering a range of fun activities. The leisure centre offers supervised gym sessions for 11-15 year olds to enjoy at dedicated time slots.

Ashby Leisure Centre’s iconic outdoor pool
Ashby Leisure Centre & Lido features the only lido in Leicestershire. Situated in the market town of Ashby-de-la-Zouch, our outdoor lido swimming pool offers a fun location to enjoy during those hot summer days.
The pool, which was first opened in 1929, has undergone a significant transformation during the period of closure on the back of a customer consultation exercise and subsequent investment from the centre’s operators, Everyone Active.
This fantastic facility is the perfect place to while away the summer months. Whether you want to enjoy the cooling water or relax by the poolside, it’s ideal for everyone, especially children and families.
