Alphabox is a pre-school parent/carer and child group teaching phonics through stories, games and creative activities.
Each week, the children are introduced to a new letter and its sound. We then have new activities every half term, which encourage listening, taking turns and independence. Classes are limited in size to enable children to gain confidence and allow all children to feel involved. The children also have the chance to do a take-home craft, relating to the sound of the week, to help them remember and continue to talk about it at home! Crafting is a great way to develop those fine motor skills as well as the help that hands-on crafts bring to learning.
Classes run term time only, and all classes take place at our building in Amblecote, Stourbridge.
This term, classes are Tuesdays 13:45 – 14:30 and Wednesdays 09:45 – 10:30 and Fridays 09:45 – 10:30 – class times are subject to change depending on demand.
Classes are paid for in blocks, but we offer a one-off payment for the first class so you can try it and see if it’s the class for you!
Each summer we have taster classes, so watch out for those if you are thinking of joining us in September.
