A classic autumn recipe for kids that’s fun to make and delicious to eat: Mini Apple Pie Bites!

🍏 Mini Apple Pie Bites

Perfect for: Kids to help with rolling, sprinkling, and assembling
Tastes like: A bite-sized version of warm apple pie

Ingredients

🧺 Ingredients:

  • 1 Shortcrust pack of pastry
  • 2 apples (Granny Smith or Gala work great)
  • 3 tbsp of brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 oz butter (melted)
  • Optional: raisins, chopped nuts, or caramel drizzle

Method

🧑‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Peel and cut apples into chunks.
  3. In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon and add the apple chunks. ( Save a bit of sugar and cinnamon to sprinkle on at the end)
  4. Unroll the dough and cut into 12 baking tin size circles.
  5. Place the circles into the separate bun tin
  6. Brush each circle with melted butter.
  7. Place a tsp of the mixture into the circles
  8. Sprinkle the last of the cinnamon-sugar mix on top.
  9. Bake for 12–15 minutes, until golden brown.

🍂 Fun Additions:

  • Add a mini marshmallow inside before rolling.
  • Let kids dust with icing sugar on top once they cool.
  • Serve with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream.
