Dig up your favourite Flora Fields dahlia for charity at Webbs, Wychbold

Gardeners who fell in love with a particular dahlia at Webbs’ Flora Fields this summer will have the chance to take it home and grow it in their own garden, while supporting two charities.
The Flora Fields Charity Dahlia Dig Up takes place at Webbs, Wychbold, on Sunday 1 November 2026, from 10am, after the spectacular summer display has now come to an end.
Throughout the summer, visitors to Flora Fields have been able to wander among more than 60 varieties of dahlias and cut their favourite flowers to take home. Now, as the plants die back for winter, visitors are being invited to return to the field, find a favourite variety and dig up its tuber.
The tubers can then be stored safely over winter before being replanted in the spring, giving visitors the chance to enjoy a little piece of Flora Fields in their own gardens next summer.
Louise Webb, Co-owner and Director at Webbs, said: “We’re delighted to give visitors the chance to take home a little piece of Flora Fields. After enjoying the beautiful dahlias in bloom throughout the summer, it’s lovely to think that people can now grow their favourites in their own gardens and enjoy them again next year. What makes the event even more special is that we’re raising money for two fantastic charities, St Richard’s Hospice and Greenfingers Charity, while sharing our love of gardening with the local community.”
Dahlia tubers will cost just £2 each, with every penny from tuber sales donated to St Richard’s Hospice and Greenfingers Charity.
St Richard’s Hospice provides free compassionate care to adults with illnesses which cannot be cured and their loved ones.

Ria Simons, Corporate Fundraising Manager for St Richard’s Hospice, said:
“Each year it costs around £12 million to keep our care and support services
running and 80% of that is raised by kind hospice supporters. We’re so grateful to
local businesses, like Webbs, who help raise funds for St Richard’s and ensure our care lives on for patients and families across Worcestershire.” Greenfingers Charity supports children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions who spend time in hospices across the UK, as well as their families and carers.
Their main work is creating specially designed therapeutic gardens at children’s
hospices. Linda Petrons, Director of Fundraising & Communications at Greenfingers Charity, said: “We’re delighted that the beauty of Webbs’ Flora Fields will continue to live on in supporters’ gardens, bringing joy year after year while helping two charities. A heartfelt thank you to the Webbs team and everyone who supports this wonderful initiative. Every tuber purchased will help us create magical gardens at children’s hospices, giving children and their families welcoming spaces to play, relax and enjoy precious time together outdoors.”Webbs’ horticultural team will be on hand to help visitors identify varieties and offer advice on how to lift and store the tubers correctly over winter and replant them in spring.
Admission is £2 per person, with visitors required to pre-book a one-hour session online in advance. Guests areencouraged to bring a garden fork, secateurs, suitable containers and practical clothing and footwear.
