
St Paul’s Foundation Day
Discover more about Victorian ingenuity and Sale’s history inside St Paul’s Church in Sale. Free entry- art exhibition from local artists, models of Sale from Manchester school of architecture students, historic photos plus the opportunity to go on our very popular tower-tours- tickets available on the day, no charge, donations are appreciated.
Steve Guinness, aka the Brick Consultant, winner of UK Lego Masters, will be running a series of ‘make and take’ workshops throughout the day where children will meet Steve and get to put together and keep their very own model of James Prescott Joule’s invention for measuring energy. If you’re interested in STEM and Lego- this is the perfect combination. Workshop places are limited, there is a charge to cover the cost of the Lego – you need to pre-book via the Sale Festival webpage, from the What’s on menu, search for St Paul’s Foundation Day: https://www.salefestival.org. Workshop times are 10.30am, 11.30am, 1.30pm & 2.30pm, suitable for children aged 6-16 years- they must be accompanied by an adult.
The Church Hall will be open and hosting a tea-room plus live music, the church gardens will be hosting Sale Community Brass band, David Sotunde saxophonist, children’s games and activities.
