Vote for your favourite local charity

Vote now – it costs nothing but means SO much!

By Pauline – editor for Raring2go! Hereford & Worcester.

In spring 2026 I decided to offer a full page, free of charge, in the Raring2go! Hereford & Worcester magazine to one local charity – and I asked my Facebook followers to suggest and vote for their favourite local charities.

The response was HUGE, and we all got to hear about some really remarkable charities, doing incredible work with, and for, our local communities.

The charity receiving the most votes in spring 2026 was St Michael’s Hospice in Hereford.  I was delighted to call them to tell them the good news, and they were equally delighted, expressing so much gratitude for everyone who voted for them, and to receive the free page in the magazine.

They used that free page to promote their event Run Hereford – you can see their page in the magazine here.

Hearing how much this meant to St Michael’s Hospice, and learning more about all the local charities we have right here, I decided to do it all again, offering a full page for one local charity in the summer edition.

The rules are the same, and simple enough.  Just log in and vote for your favourite local charity, you can find the list and full information right here.

And if your favourite local charity isn’t on the list, please head over to my Facebook page and suggest them – don’t forget to come back here to vote for them!

Voting takes just 2 minutes, and is free to anyone and everyone!

If you decide to opt in for the e-newsletters too, you will be the first to hear about any local news, offers and competitions and never miss out.  Newsletter subscribers get one national newsletter each month, and one local newsletter each month.  Its the ideal way to get any updates and news in between each magazine edition!  You can unsubscribe to emails at any point too, so why not give them a try?
