The Paul Hunter School of Piano provides high-quality, personalised piano lessons for children and adults in Angmering, Worthing, and the surrounding areas.
Founded by pianist and educator Paul Hunter, the school reflects years of experience teaching across leading independent schools and at the University of Sussex. Paul specialises in developing confident, well-rounded pianists through a structured yet highly personalised approach. Lessons are thoughtfully tailored to each student, combining strong technical and musical foundations with a supportive and encouraging environment that enables students to thrive from the very beginning.
We work with a wide range of students, from complete beginners to more advanced players, and support a variety of goals. Some students choose to work towards ABRSM or Trinity exams, while others prefer to learn for enjoyment, exploring music they love, including classical, film, and contemporary styles.
Our teaching places a strong emphasis on developing key skills such as listening, reading, technique, and musical understanding, while also nurturing creativity and self-expression. Many parents find that lessons also support concentration, discipline, and confidence beyond music.
Lessons take place in our dedicated studio in Angmering, as well as in Worthing, with a growing team of friendly and well-trained teachers who share the same values and approach.
