Living History 2026 at The Commandery

Living History 2026 at The Commandery

Come face to face with the past at The Commandery’s biggest weekend of the year! Living History 2026  is taking place all day at The Commandery on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd February.

Explore living history encampments and watch marvellous military displays at Worcester’s historic Commandery.

The site will be alive with performances by musicians and dancers, and you can learn about traditional crafts too.

Encounter reenactors throughout the beautiful Grade-1 listed building and gardens, where they’ll be demonstrating and displaying historical weaponry.

A full schedule will be available before the event.

Living History 2026 is organised in partnership with The Worcester Re-enactors.

During you visit you can explore the beautiful walled gardens, where you can relax and learn more about the history of Worcester with the brilliant interactive audio benches.  There is a great Nature Play Area for the little ones to enjoy too.

Head inside and see how families lived during the Tudor times. Can you spot the beautiful oriel window in the Great Hall, or the slightly haunting death mask of Oliver Cromwell? All the family can have some fun dressing up in civil-war soldier gear, or a Georgian-style dress (yes, grown ups can dress up too!).

Fancy a cuppa? Pop in to Al’s Kitchen at The Commandery during your visit and enjoy the cosy space, or sit out in the lovely canal-side garden.

You can just turn up to enjoy this great family day out.  Opening times are 10am – 5pm on Saturday with last entry at 4pm, and 10am – 4pm on Sunday, with last entry at 3pm. Usual admission prices apply.
