Nightfall features a brand-new spectacular trail of interactive light artworks that will transform Stewart Park into an illuminated playground of light, colour and memory making. Organisers Tees Valley based Steller Creates have started to reveal this year’s programme, to give a flavour of what’s in store for ticket holders. Nightfall’s Larger in Light trail will feature towering tulips, oversized illuminated owls, a larger-than-life fox, a playful fluffle of radiant rabbits that leap and dance before your eyes and many more yet to be announced artworks.
You’ll also be able to dance the night away beneath a giant mirror glitter ball at an outdoor silent disco whilst listening to curated playlists, and families can enjoy artist-led workshops and get creative together!
Rachel Willis, Director at Stellar Creates, shared her excitement: “We’re thrilled to be bringing Nightfall back to Stewart Park this year. Now more than ever, it’s vital to create opportunities for people to come together, and enjoy something magical during the winter months.
Visitors will see the park come to life after dark with imaginative installations, storytelling, live performances, an outdoor silent disco, and interactive activities. We’re eagerly looking forward to welcoming Tees Valley audiences of all ages to experience this year’s event – they are in for an illuminated treat.
We are blown away with the response so far! Tickets are selling quickly and we encourage people to get theirs before the event sells out!”
The trail also features captivating performances from popular storyteller Ian Douglas, enchanting audiences with shadow puppetry and lantern-lit tales and Whippet Up, will premiere a brand-new UV puppet show for families. The Tees Valley Music Service & Tees Dance will also be entertaining Nightfall audiences as they enjoy their Nightfall experience.
