HOME is thrilled to announce the return of Little HOME Festival

HOME is thrilled to announce the return of Little HOME Festival, a joyful celebration of creativity, community, and connection for families across Greater Manchester and beyond.

Taking place at HOME across the weekend of Sat 2 and Sun 3 Aug, this free, two-day festival is packed with street performers, family films, outdoor and indoor theatre, crafts and activities, hands-on workshops, and interactive shows, promising endless fun for all ages.

This year’s programme includes a lively mix of performance, play and participation designed to spark imagination and bring families together in the heart of Manchester.

Highlights of our 2025 line-up include:

Big Bad Wolf
A clever twist on classic fairy tales! Meet the misunderstood Big Bad Wolf in a playful and interactive performance that flips the script on Little Red Riding Hood, The Three Little Pigs, and The Boy Who Cried Wolf. This imaginative show explores themes of friendship, resilience, and identity while asking—is the Wolf really so big and bad after all?

Campfire Tales
Welcome to Campfire Tales – a wildly imaginative, laugh-out-loud, and heartwarming journey into the world of traditional folk tales. Join Professors Jigget and Tebleton as they spin timeless tales brimming with mystery, magic, and mayhem. This is interactive storytelling at its best – families are invited to share ideas, spark conversations, and become part of the adventure. With songs you’ll hum on the way home and moments of nonsense that leave everyone giggling, this is story time – but not as you know it.

Dhol Drum & Bhangra Workshop
Get ready to move! This high-energy workshop brings the power of Dhol drumming and the joy of Bhangra dance to families of all ages and abilities. Whether you’re a rhythm rookie or a seasoned mover, everyone is welcome to join in this vibrant celebration of community and culture.

Family Crafts
Drop into our Creativity Corner to get hands-on with arts and crafts inspired by global celebrations. Make an African mask, design a colourful summer fan, collage a celebration card, or add your voice to our collaborative banner. Fun, festive, and perfect for little makers!

Mama G’s Storytime Spectacular
Everyone’s favourite pantomime dame, Mama G, brings stories, songs and sparkle to the stage in a heartwarming storytime filled with laughs and life lessons. With her signature style and inclusive message of love and self-expression, Mama G is a must-see for all ages.

Robot Rock with Phoebe Foxtrot
Head back to Creativity Corner for a future-facing workshop with Phoebe Foxtrot, where recycled materials become robot art, sculptures, prints and headpieces. Expect story-sharing, eco-chats and creativity galore—plus something special to take home!

Skylight Circus
Ready to run away with the circus? Join Skylight Circus Arts to try your hand at juggling, plate-spinning, diabolo and more. A fun and welcoming workshop for children aged 4+ and adults alike – perfect for discovering a hidden talent or two!

Whether you want to dance, build, create, perform, or just play, Little HOME is your destination for two days of memory-making and summer celebration!
