Guided nature walk from Penshaw Monument
Learn more about nature around Penshaw Monument with Ranger Jason. Discover local wildlife, which may include birds, insects, fungi, plants and more. This walk will be approximately 5 miles long, lasting about 4 hours with stops.
This walk is free, turn up on the day and join in.
Suitable for families with children aged 8+
Please park on the road at the base of the monument and meet at the base of the hill.
Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and shoes and dress for the weather. This walk is from 10am-2pm, please bring any snacks, water and lunch you may need.
This walk follows a route which is fairly flat but goes through mixed terrain and is not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs. The walk will be approximately 5 miles long with multiple stops.
