Manchester Christmas Parade 2024
8th December
Manchester Christmas Parade
Manchester’s free Christmas Parade, the best of its kind in the UK, will once again bring joy to thousands of spectators, young and old.
This year’s event will be bigger and better than ever with over 400 participants: be amazed by Mistletoe dancing mice, horse-riding elves on stilts, an oversized polar bear, Christmas robins, robot drummers, a toe-tapping hip hop elf, airborne puppetry, and so much more.
The highlights of this year’s parade will include Manchester’s very own Elf Express – a spectacular train with carriages full of elves – and the return of the enchanting Snow Queen.
This year’s extended parade route will start and end at Manchester Cathedral, passing through Victoria Street, Deansgate, John Dalton Street, Cross Street, Market Street, St Mary’s Gate, Deansgate, and Victoria Street.
Accessible viewing areas are set up in two locations:
- Accessible viewing area 1 – Extended layby outside Roxy Ball Room and Be At One venues on Deansgate.
What3Words app: galaxy.cats.limit - Accessible viewing area 2 – Benches outside Boots on Cross Street.
What3Words app: prime.double.square
Come together with family and friends for an unforgettable free day out in the city centre.
Please check road closures before starting your journey.
