Family Friendly Explorer Tours

Mondays and Saturdays from 22 July to 31 August, 11am and 1pm
Throughout the summer join one of our family friendly tours of Football: Designing the Beautiful Game and delve into the amazing facts, figures and stories behind some of the objects on display – Pele’s boots, a winning World Cup England shirt, a Wembley turnstile and a celebration of Punjabi Wolves – you don’t want to miss out!

Creative Coding for Kids

Tuesdays from 23 July to 27 August, 11.00am-12.30pm and 1pm-2.30pm
Creative kids who want to try making their own Beat the Goalie game will love these sessions, learning some coding skills along the way! No equipment or knowledge required, each session will be supported by a facilitator to get them to the final whistle.

Suitable for ages: 6+.

Reflexions Craft and Chat

Wednesdays from 31 July to 28 August, 10.30am-2.30pm
Drop in arts and craft activities for all the family to bring some creative mindfulness into your day. Join the Reflexions Wolverhampton team and spend some quality time with friends and family.

Hands On Art Workshops

Thursdays from 25 July to 29 August
Each Thursday join a different artist for a workshop or one hour drop in activity to create something special to take home. Try out a fun artistic skill inspired by our exciting summer exhibition, Football: Designing the Beautiful Game.
Times and costs will vary and booking fees apply.


Clay and Plaster Casting Wall Hanging Workshops

Join us for this 1-hour workshop for the opportunity to work with clay moulds and plaster casting techniques to create football themed a wall hanging with artist Luke Perry.

Create Your Own Table Football

Thursday 1 August, 10:45am-12:45pm / 1:30pm-3:30pm
Create your own table football game with a variety of everyday materials. Learn 3D sculpture techniques and transform a cardboard box into a stadium and wooden pegs into football players with artist Kathleen Fabre. Add a mini football and you’re ready to play!

Crafty Kicks: Design Your Own Football T-shirt!

Get ready for a unique and creative experience where art meets sports! In this hands-on workshop with artist Sahjan Kooner, families will design and create their very own football jerseys, combining their love for the game with their artistic flair and creativity from personal stories and memories.

Strike a Pose Football Players

Create and decorate your own poseable football players using split pins and all things colourful and crafty to give them a striking new kit! Join artist Rob Conway for this fun, 1-hour craft session where your imagination is the limit.

Fantastic Football Dreamcatchers

Thursday 29 August, 10:45am / 12:30pm / 2:00pm
Football Dream Catchers are good luck charms that reflect positive energy. Choose the colours of your favourite football team. Design and decorate your very own dream catcher using, paints, deco pens, colourful feathers, ribbons, strings, beads and buttons with artist Kom Achall. You can hang up your Football Dream Catcher in your bedroom and dream of your favourite football team scoring a goal and winning the game!

Our creative, sensory play sessions for families with babies and toddlers are led by artists and early years’ educators. Take time to relax, imagine and find inspiration together.

Bantock Boddlers

Thursday 1, 8, 15, 22 August, 11.00am-1.00pm
Bantock Boddlers are creative outdoor art sessions to encourage exploratory play in the natural environment. Let your children’s imaginations roam with natural materials and creative play. Babies and toddlers will learn in a playful way with the guidance of an experienced artist-educator and in a happy and relaxed environment. These sessions will take place in the gardens of Bantock House. Please bring appropriate clothing for being outdoors.

Suitable for ages: 0 to 5 – older siblings are also welcome to attend.
