Families are invited to step into a world of festive magic at the Signal Box Cafe in Thinktank Birmingham Science Museum!
The air will be filled with the scent of a delicious cooked breakfast and the sparkle of Christmas cheer as guests settle in for a truly special morning. While everyone enjoys their meal, the jingle of sleigh bells will signal the arrival of Santa Claus himself! He’ll stop at every table to share a warm hello, hand-deliver a special gift to each child, and pose for that all-important festive photo to treasure forever. Cheerful elves will be on hand to spread extra Christmas joy and make sure everything runs as smoothly as Santa’s sleigh.
Your ticket also includes on the day admission to Thinktank, so you can stay and play all day and make the most of your festive family visit!

- Menu Options:
-Children: Pancakes or mini English breakfast, juice or milk.
-Adults: Full English breakfast, vegetarian option, tea or coffee. - Babies in arms (under 12 months) do not require a ticket if they are accompanying another paying child, unless you would like them to have the full Santa experience with a meal and gift.

Step into the magic of the season at Santa’s Workshop, where little ones will be welcomed into a cosy and festive setting to meet Santa himself.
Children will gather together to enjoy a special visit with Father Christmas before joining his Christmas Elves in the workshop for a fun, hands-on craft activity.
As families get creative, each child will have the opportunity to meet Santa individually, receive a special gift, and pose for a memorable photo. Parents are welcome to take their own pictures, so don’t forget to bring your camera!
This 45-minute experience is filled with festive cheer, creativity, and magical moments, making it the perfect way to celebrate the season together.
Each ticket includes a festive crafty session, a special gift for every child, and the opportunity for a photo with Santa.
Each child must be accompanied by an adult; no charge for accompanying adults.
Good to know
- Tickets to see Santa are an additional charge, priced at £7.00 per child
- All visitors must also hold a valid ticket to Thinktank for the same day.
- Babies in arms (under 12 months) do not require a ticket if they are accompanying another paying child unless you would like them to have the full Santa experience with a gift.
- The Grotto is located on Level 2.
- Event takes places at 11.30am, 1:30pm and 3pm on weekends and Christmas holidays from 5th of December till the 23rd of December.
