St Peter’s Good As New Sale

St Peter’s Good As New Sale

Hale’s Popular “Good As New” Sale Returns this May, Supporting Local Charities
After another strong turnout in November 2024, Hale’s beloved biannual “Good As New” Baby and Children’s Sale will return on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at St Peter’s Assembly Rooms. This exciting event, which has become a staple in the community, features a wide variety of high-quality, preloved items at unbeatable prices, with 25% of all sale proceeds benefitting local charities.
Since its inception around 40 years ago, the sale has raised over £21,000 for children’s hospitals in just the past six years alone. The previous event, held in November 2024, raised approximately £1,500 for the Manchester Foundation Trust Charity’s Build to Beat Breast Cancer campaign. The sale, which welcomed 160 buyers who rehomed a staggering 2,800 items, proved to be a major success in both sales and charitable support.
A Treasure Trove for Families
Shoppers can expect an impressive array of items for children from newborn to 10 years old, all from trusted brands like Marks and Spencer, Joules, Next, and Mini Boden. The sale offers fantastic bargains, with many items still tagged or brand new in box.
Supporting a Worthy Cause
Vendors who wish to sell can register for free, with 25% of all profits going directly to the Build to Beat Breast Cancer appeal. This campaign is raising funds for a new National Breast Imaging Academy (NBIA), which will provide essential training for breast imaging specialists and ensure thousands more women in the region receive timely mammograms.
A Message from the Committee
Kate Hasluck, Chair of the Sale Committee, shared her excitement for the event:
“Each year, the St Peter’s Good As New sale continues to grow and make a real impact in the community. It’s truly heartwarming to be part of an event that brings so many families together while supporting such an important cause. Not only do we help families save hundreds of pounds, but we also help make a difference in the fight against breast cancer. We can’t wait for another fantastic sale on Saturday, May 10, and we are hopeful we can raise thousands more for the Build to Beat Breast Cancer appeal.”
What Shoppers Are Saying
Local shopper Millie shared her enthusiasm:
“I’m so thrilled to have discovered this hidden gem. The cost of buying new clothes, shoes, books, and toys for kids can really add up, and this sale is a fantastic way to save money while still finding great quality items. It’s so fun shopping for my kids knowing they’ll love the things I pick out for them!”
Vendor Registration
Registration for vendors is currently open. Anyone interested in selling can email ganstpeters@hotmail.co.uk with their name and email address to receive a vendor number for labelling items.
Put the date in your diary for Saturday, May 10, and don’t miss the opportunity to find great deals while supporting a worthy cause!
