
Brave, Newcastle Castle
Join us in the atmospheric Great Hall of Newcastle Castle for another fantastic film. This week, we head to the Highlands with Pixar’s Brave (2012).
Brave is a 2012 fantasy film produced by Pixar Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. The film stars the voices of Kelly Macdonald, Billy Connolly, Emma Thompson, Julie Walters, Robbie Coltrane, Kevin McKidd, and Craig Ferguson. Set in the Scottish Highlands, the film tells the story of Princess Merida of DunBroch (Macdonald) who defies an age-old custom, causing chaos in the kingdom by expressing the desire not to be betrothed. When Queen Elinor (Thompson), her mother, falls victim to a beastly curse and turns into a bear, Merida must look within herself and find the key to saving the kingdom.

The film will take place in the Great Hall of the Castle Keep. Unfortunately, this venue has no disabled access due to the historic nature of the building. Doors will open at approximately 6pm, with the film starting at 6.30pm. We cannot guarantee entry after the film has started to avoid disruption.
Please note: It can get very cold in the Castle Keep, so please dress in warm clothes!
