Kids’ ‘Sculpt your own Pet’ Workshop with Ros Ingram

Tickets £12.00An after-school ceramics workshop for kids (age 6+) to sculpt their own pet in clay, with award-winning ceramicist Ros Ingram.There will be an option to pay separately for kids’ finished pets to be fired at a small extra fee. All abilities welcome. Please bring an apron!
We are pleased to announce that we are teaming up with the Broadway Cinema Club to bring you the award-winning film “Loving Vincent” on the evening of Thursday 15th June (Cert 12). Released in 2017 Loving Vincent is an experimental animated biographical drama about the life of the painter Vincent van Gogh.
A taste of Carnival! Bring the family and have a go at playing the drums of Rio Carnival. David Walter of Ola Samba will teach a fun, loud and challenging set of material for the group to be able to perform by the end of the hour. Suitable for complete drumming novices young and old.
Children’s Summer Meadow Painting Workshop
Create a beautiful, colourful summer meadow painting using a range of techniques such as sponging, layering, blending, collage and paint splatting. Learn how to carefully build up colours and textures in sequence with expert guidance from two professional artists, Beth and Georgina from Artbase, to create an amazing Impressionist inspired masterpiece to take home.
Children’s Undersea Paper Lantern Workshop
Come and transform a simple paper lantern into an amazing sea creature! Choose from an octopus, angel fish, shark, dolphin or jellyfish and use colourful paints and collage materials to bring your creature to life. A small battery powered light will also be supplied to light up your sea creature at night.
Children’s Cycle-delic Spin Painting
A spin art-producing bicycle – a cross between a Rube Goldberg contraption and a Damien Hirst painting factory machine. Workshop participants add poster paint to cartridge paper mounted on a spinning platter, producing endlessly varied colourful outcomes to take home and keep. Children tend to make better spin-painters as they are fearless in their application.
Teen Acrylics Workshop – collage, colour & rhythm
A relaxed teen acrylics workshop aimed at 12-17 year olds. Lots of creative fun as a group, learning how to use acrylic paint. You will be making an abstract acrylic painting on board and learning about how to use a limited palette, texture, colour and shape to compose and express ideas and to create tone.
