Remember… remember… it’s nearly that time again. Bonfire Night is one of those brilliant British traditions that never quite loses its magic, whatever your age. From community club displays with a burger van and a bucket collection, to bigger organised shows with music and choreography, Leicestershire has plenty of options to help your family “ooh” and “aah” in style this November. I’ve pulled together the best, biggest and family-friendliest firework displays happening in and around the city, so you can find your perfect night out without the last-minute scramble for tickets.

Twinlakes Fireworks

Tuesday 3rd November 2026

One of the Midlands’ most exciting fireworks nights’ with the display lit up over the lakes, theme park rides running in the dark, mini bonfires to keep you cosy, and food, drink and speciality bar stalls to see you through the evening. Pre-booking essential, including for season ticket holders and under 95cm children go free (but still need a ticket).

Bonfire & Fireworks Extravaganza at Great Central Railway

Thursday 5th November 2026 | Bonfire lighting 7:30pm, fireworks 8pm

One of Leicestershire’s biggest and best bonfire shows, held at Quorn & Woodhouse Station. A giant bonfire kicks off the evening, followed by a spectacular fireworks display, with children’s rides, food and entertainment stalls in the yard throughout. For an extra bit of magic, you can travel in by heritage steam train from Loughborough, Rothley or Leicester North stations rather than driving straight to Quorn. Advance booking only, no tickets available on the night.

Abbey Park Bonfire and Fireworks

Saturday 7th November 2026 | Gates open 5pm, quiet fireworks 6.45pm, main display 8pm

Leicester’s biggest fireworks event, right in the city at Abbey Park. Watch the traditional bonfire and enjoy two spectacular fireworks displays, a shorter, quieter show at 6.45pm for children and anyone who prefers less noise, followed by the big main display at 8pm, set to music with a countdown. There’s also live entertainment, a funfair, street food and a licensed bar to make a full evening of it. A wheelchair viewing area is available, and Blue Badge parking must be booked in advance. No parking at Abbey Park or nearby streets – walking, cycling or public transport is recommended.

Fireworks Spectacular at Conkers

Friday 6th & Saturday 7th November 2026 | Doors 5pm, showtime 7.30pm

Two nights of fireworks displays in the heart of the National Forest. A laser show and fireworks, plus walkabout entertainers to keep the atmosphere buzzing. There’s plenty to keep the family busy beyond the main event too, fairground amusements and games, a glow stand, a Family Sparkler Station and Safety Sparkler Zone, and Conkachoo train rides. A varied food market covers dinner, with street food stalls, cafés and licensed bars dotted throughout the site. Free parking.

Tickets: Adults/Concessions £14.50; Child (2-16yrs) £12.00; Family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children) £50.00; Under 2s £5.00; Carers £5.00 (one per disabled guest, proof required on entry). 10% member discount available with membership number at checkout, or use code EARLYBIRDFWK for 10% off as an early bird.

Fireworks Fiesta at Hinckley Rugby Club

Sunday 8th November 2026 | From 5pm, fireworks 7.30pm

One of the biggest fireworks displays in Leicestershire and South West Leicestershire, Fireworks Fiesta has become an annual tradition, drawing thousands of families and friends from across Hinckley, Nuneaton, Burbage, Market Bosworth, Leicester, Rugby, Coventry and Warwickshire. The funfair runs from 5pm with rides for all ages, plus crazy golf and a proper festive atmosphere. There’s amazing street food to keep everyone fed (stone-baked pizza, hog roast, Angus burgers, artisan sausage dogs and fresh waffles), and both indoor and outdoor bars open from 5pm. The main event is a professionally choreographed display from the legendary Jonathan’s Fireworks at approximately 7.30pm – dazzling colours, huge explosions and a spectacular soundtrack. One of Hinckley RFC’s biggest annual events, so tickets sell fast.

VAL Fireworks Festival at Leicester Racecourse

Saturday 7th November 2026 | Doors open 5pm

A big, glitzy night out featuring two award-winning fireworks displays, magic shows, family entertainment and a live DJ set from Pat Sharp! Doors open at 5pm, a children’s fireworks display at 7pm, Pat Sharp’s live DJ set from 7.30-8.30pm, then the main fireworks display at 8.45pm. Plenty of time to enjoy the entertainment before the sky lights up. Prices increase on the day, so early booking recommended.

Tickets: Advanced tickets from £12.50; Family tickets from £37.50 (2 adults, 2 under 18s).

Low Noise Fireworks & Bonfire Party at West Lodge Farm Park

6th-7th November 2026 | 4.30pm-7.30pm

A lovely, gentler option for families with younger children or animal-loving little ones. Gather around Farmer Ed’s giant bonfire for an evening of autumn treats, family entertainment and festive atmosphere – toast marshmallows, tuck into street food, and enjoy indoor and outdoor play, animal petting sessions, barrel rides and a round of 9-hole adventure golf before the evening ends with a spectacular low noise firework display, designed to bring all the colour and excitement of a traditional show while being kinder for younger visitors (and the farm’s animals). One of West Lodge’s most popular events of the year, so it’s worth booking early. Worth noting this one’s a little further afield, on the Northamptonshire/Leicestershire border. (Tickets go on sale 28th August at 7pm – pricing not yet published.)

Firework Display at Aylestone Park Football Club

Friday 6th November 2026

A community night out right in the city, with local firework supplier Celestial Firework Displays delivering two unforgettable displays. There’s live music from headline band The Jamlocks, a full funfair with rides for all the family, food outlets from around the world alongside the famous Spud Man, and three licensed bars. (Tickets aren’t released yet – keep an eye out for discounted early bird tickets, coming soon.)

Bonfire and Fireworks Night at Broom Leys Farm

Wednesday 5th & Saturday 7th November 2026

Broom Leys Farm is teaming up with Broomleys CC Cricket Club for two nights of Bonfire Night celebrations. The traditional date on the 5th, plus a second night on Saturday the 7th for anyone who prefers a weekend show. Based on last year’s format, expect gates opening mid-afternoon, a mini bonfire lit early on with a no-noise fireworks display designed for younger children and those with auditory sensitivities, followed by a main bonfire and the big fireworks display in the evening. There’s usually food vendors and bars, independent stalls, fairground rides, an undercover inflatable zone, live music and a DJ – with one ticket giving access to both displays if you want to make a full evening of it. (Details are still coming together for 2026, full programme and online booking to be announced.)

Fireworks Night at Mallory Park

Friday 6th November 2026 | 5pm-10pm

The annual Bonfire & Fireworks display returns to Mallory Park Racing Circuit for an evening of fun for all the family. Alongside the bonfire and fireworks, there’s a fun fair, live music, hot food and a licensed bar. The evening runs to this schedule: parking opens 5pm, admission gates 5.30pm, bonfire lit 6pm, live music from 6.45pm, fireworks at 7.30pm, with live music continuing from 8pm. Toddlers aged 3 and under go free.

Tickets (early bird, incl. booking fees): Adult (14+) £10.84; Child (4-13) £7.59; Family (2 adults, 3 children) £37.94.
