Review – The Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe

Wow what a night watching The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe at The Alex in Birmingham. We were blown away with the incredible staging of the show and the very clever way that the actors cleverly moved the scenes along with song, dance and music.
The actors playing Pevensie children were absolutely amazing, the amount of dialogue and stage movement they had to do was incredible. Some of the cast also acted several parts which was no doubt a very demanding role and their skill set was truly outstanding.
My niece came along with me to watch the show and this is what she said about the show and characters.
I loved all the songs and it was really good when the witch went into sky even though she was a bit scary!
Peter– I liked the way he was protected over his siblings.
Edmund– he betrayed his family but did the right thing in the end.
Lucy– she was curious and very caring.
Susan– she was very smart and always wanted the best for her brothers and sisters.
Aslan– I liked the way we saw a man and a lion together and his roar made me jump!
The White Witch– she was mean and very scary, she had a loud voice.
Mr Tummus-he was very kind and helped Lucy.
Mr and Mrs Beaver– they were very funny and very brave.
I loved the show and really enjoyed watching one of my favourite books come to life on stage.
