101 Dalmatians The Musical at The Alex – Review

It’s not Hear’Say that Kim Marsh as Cruella De Vil nearly stole the show at 101 Dalmatians The Musical!

Tom (Samuel Thomas) and Danielle(Jessie Elland) love their dogs Pongo  and Perdi and they’re very happy with life but Tom just needs that big break with his fashion designs. What an amazing opportunity for him when renowned fashionista Cruella De Vil invites him to show his latest designs, he’s thrilled but when she hears that Perdi is expecting puppies, she makes demands that he’s not sure that he can carry through with.  So Cruella hatches a plan with her two side kicks Casper and Jasper ( Charles Brunton and Danny Hendrix) who do their best to carry out her wishes but fail to see it through with hilarious consequences .They brought the laughs with marvelous mischief and meddlesome mayhem to ensure that Cruella got her just desserts.                                                                                                                                                                                               It was truly amazing to see how the whole cast interacted on stage with the puppeteers, it was so seamless, immersive and totally cute. A special ‘bark’ out to  Perdi and Pongo who delivered such a high energy performance, bounding around on stage.

Woof woof! What a production from main stage assemble to the fabulous music, dazzling lighting, imaginative staging and clever puppetry . This show is the one to see this summer with the family and there are 101 reasons to go!  A little bit of peril, a lot of laughs and a whole lot of love takes you racing through this fast pace show. A sensational 5 Star’s again for The Alex !
