Seven Stories, Newcastle
Situated in the Ouseburn Valley in Newcastle, Seven Stories is the National Centre for Children's Books. We bring together original manuscripts & artwork from some of this country's best loved children's books. Seven Stories creates an ever changing story book landscape of exhibitions, activities & events for all ages, designed to inspire ideas of the imagination. To take you into the magical world of children's stories. How books are made, where they come from and how we can enjoy and share them. It's a great day out for the whole family!
Seven Stories is a charity - all the money we raise is used to save, celebrate and share the wonderful world of children's books.
Everyday is Story Time
We love sharing and telling stories - and the choices are endless! Every day our storytellers captivate young and old with tales from our favourite books (10.30am, 12.30pm and 3.30pm). We bring books to life through playful activities and exhibitions, displaying real artwork and manuscripts from famous children's authors and illustrators.
Join in with arts and craft activities and make your own special creations to take home with you.
We have a packed year round events programme for all ages - including visiting authors, illustrators, workshops, talks, performances and much more.
