We have lots of fun, family events during February Half-term with hands on workshops inspired by some of our current exhibitions, including Evelyn De Morgan’s Painted Dreams, Oliver Frank Chanarin’s, A Perfect Sentence and Pop, Print, Protest curated by Sophie Hatchwell.
Pop Print Power Patches Workshop
Tuesday 18 February
Inspired by our Pop, Print, Protest exhibition, print onto a fabric patch with your own symbol or slogan about a positive change you want to see in the world. Add power to your statement with an upcycled textile patch that you can take away and wear, wave, hang up or add to our collaborative banner.
1 hour 15-minute workshops at:
Workshop 1: 10:30am – 11:45am
Workshop 2: 12:15pm – 1:30pm
Workshop 3: 2pm – 3:15pm

Construct a Portrait – Generate your very own ‘Artificial Intelligence’ Fisherman’s Portrait
Wednesday 19 February
Come along and collage your own ‘AI Generated’ face. Pick and choose features to assemble your very own portrait of a fisherman, in the style of Sam Wootton’s ‘Men Holding Fish’ series. Choose your own AI-Generated eyes, nose, lips, hair and outfit, and take home your own portrait with whichever kind of person takes your fancy!

Metallic Wing Making
Thursday 20 February
Come along and learn embossed foil art techniques to make your own metallic effect wings. Then decorate with feathers and ribbons and take home your own majestic Evelyn De Morgan inspired wearable wings!
